Healing Doll Way Course Offerings for 2025
The Healing Doll Way online classes are based on my book The Healing Doll Way:
A Guided Process Creating Art Dolls for Self-Discovery, Awareness, and Transformation.
Origins of the Healing Doll Way
In 2000, I wrote a college research paper that inspired the curriculum and book for healing dolls. In 2006, I launched the Healing Doll Project using Yahoo Groups. Since then, the process and class have evolved significantly. Over one thousand women, both in person and online, have created art dolls using the Healing Doll Way process.
Classes are conducted via Zoom video conferences and coaching calls, and I try to keep my (digital) classrooms playful and creative as I guide, coach, and mentorparticipants—teaching the language of healing art doll making and encouraging trust in your intuition as you create art and engage with the process. With the book as a guide and workbook, each session includes education, inspiration, coaching, group engagement through Open Studios, art journaling, creative processes, and dollmaking to support your journey through the Healing Doll Way steps of
Discovery, Self-Awareness, and Transformation.

The Healing Doll Way online class is an experiential learning opportunity to receive guidance, coaching and mentoring from Barb Kobe and support from members in the Healing Doll Way community as you move through the process and learn how to design and create your own healing dolls. You can repeat as often as you like.

Focus: Create a mandala-like collaged map where your dolls live and interact. Explore the metaphorical connection between imagination and reality. Play with gathering stories and meanings.
This September 2025, I’ll be offering a four-month class called that will you started on Designing your Healing Fields Game Board/Story Map. Your dolls will become the characters who engage and interact within your Healing Fields Story Map and gather stories. You will be given the entire written curriculm to use to move through your Creative Journey on your own.
We will meet twice a month for a class Starting September 7 and twice a month for Open Studio.
Prerequisite:
To enroll, you must have completed The Healing Doll Way and created at least one doll for each archetype covered in that class. If you’re interested in this transformative journey, send an email to me at [email protected] to join the list.

You’ve created your Healing Dolls—now it’s time to explore the territories, lands, and fields where they reside. This class builds on the creative work you’ve done in previous sessions, incorporating the dolls and art you’ve already created. Your dolls will take center stage as the characters who play and interact within your personal healing story.
In this next phase, you’ll use painting and collage process art to create a story map that allows you to dive deeper into your healing journey. Through this creative exploration, you’ll uncover core beliefs, themes, and narratives that guide and influence your path. Following intuitive threads, you’ll reflect on where you’ve been, where you are now, and where you may be headed. | ||
