Note: This is a residential retreat
ARC is located 55 miles north of Minneapolis (ten minutes north of Cambridge), on 90+ acres in central Minnesota's pine woods. We offer four-season hospitality in our cedar Lodge, Hermitage, and Cottage (which is a complete log home). A labyrinth meditation experience is available to retreatants as well as trails for walking, cross-country skiing or snowshoeing wind through woods, wetlands and a screened in gazebo nestled in the middle of the woods for reading, meditation or just enjoying nature.
We offer a 20-minute silent meditation in the chapel in the morning and the evenings for everyone. We cook our food from fresh ingredients and eat mainly vegetarian. We serve our homemade fresh bread at most meals. The space is open and gracious. The Lodge has three floors. (We also have a cottage and hermitage on the 90 acre property). Our Main living room looks out onto the property and is equipped with a wood burning fireplace to add that perfect homey feel. Each room has a desk, chair, sink, mirror and comfy chair to relax in. We provide sheets and towels so no need to bring anything extra.
We have a very comprehensive Covid-19 Preparedness Plan governed by the State of MN and the CDC.
We continue to carry out our mission by offering sanctuary to those that choose to self-quarantine at ARC with spiritual /integrated wellness intent (e.g., decrease stress, strengthen the immune system, etc.). We continue to encourage guest to: eat nutritional meals; drink more water; take deep breaths; connect with nature; move the body; disconnect from media; meditate and pray. The ARC Management Team also continues its commitment to our high standards of service in the kitchen and housekeeping by adding additional sanitation and disinfection protocols.
However we are asking that if you have any of the following symptoms to please refrain from coming to ARC until your symptoms prove to not be diagnosed as the COVID19 virus. This protocol will be strictly enforced for the safety of our employees and other retreatants.
· A dry cough
· A temperature
· Shortness of breath (in more severe cases)
